The Nigerian Governors Forum on Monday supported the proposal for the creation of State Police, which was brought back into lime light by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN).
Osinbajo had at the Senate Security Summit last week solicited for the creation of State Police to tackle insecurity across the country.

Yari, who spoke on Monday during the continuation of the Senate Security Summit, said the fear that State Police will be abused by some governors could not hold water.
