The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, (IPCR) has expressed its willingness to partner with Nile University Abuja, on Research, Capacity Development as well as Conflict Prevention and Resolution.
The Director General of the Institute, Dr. Bakut T. Bakut made the disclosure when he received on official visit, a delegation from the Nile University Abuja led by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Osman Nuri ARAS in his office.
Dr. Bakut Said that thought there has been existing relationship between IPCR and Nile University, but there was need to identify specific areas of interest and sign Memorandum of Understanding.
He said this would enable the two organizations formalize the relationship and set up an agenda to be achieve for their mutual benefits.
He added that IPCR is the apex Federal Government Agency with the mandate of conducting in-depth research on peace, security and conflict issues as well as intervention and policy development for Nigeria and Africa.
In his remark, the Vice Chancellor, Nile University Abuja, Prof. Osman Nuri ARAS said that the rationale behind their visit was to partner with IPCR especially in the areas of capacity development, research and conferences, amongst others.
