Former Chief Whip,Alhaji Bello Ramalan, of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and Alhaji Mukhtar Mohammed, former Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council, has decried their unconstitutional suspension from the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Ramalan, a two term member representing Keffi East constituency at the state legislature and others decry this on Thursday at a Press Conference in Keffi.
He described their suspension by the local government chapter of the party as uncalledfor, unconstitutional and illegal, lacking substantive evidence.
” I have been unlawful suspended with other party loyalists in Keffi on ground that I have sponsored thugs to embrass PDP leaders during our zonal meeting early this years in Keffi.
” To my surprise, we have not been given fear hearing nor any former letter transmitted to us on the alleged offence leading to our suspension, ” he said.
Collaborating with Ramalan stand, Hon Mukhtar Mohammed, the former chairman of Keffi Local Government Council stated that as stakeholders of the party in Keffi, the unfounded allegations against them was baseless and cannot be substantiated.
Mohammed, who was the candidate, Keffi West Constituency of the party in the 2019 general election pointed out that he has never been disloyal to party heriarachy and would never be one.
He, however, said that the process of suspending him and others from the party was unjustly melted on them, calling for the intervention of the National leadership of the party to ensure peace, progress and stability towards the forthcoming of the party.
Mr Abdullahi Umar, the embattled Organising Secretary of the party in Keffi Local Government Area also said that he like others have been suspended from the party over virtious allegations.
” The have suspended me with 7 others that we are they one that sponsored thugs to embrass the party leaders during zonal meeting here in Keffi.
“We have not been given fear hearing before our suspension from the party based on the PDP constitution
” In this respect,, we have written a petition and submitted same to the National Headquarters of our party and copied all organs of the party hierarchy ” he said.
The trio and their teeming supporters threatened to take a legal action.
