Kebbi govt. donates 3 Hilus vehicles to Nigerian Army for security surveillance

The Kebbi State government has donated 3 Hilus vehicles to 8 division of Nigerian Army for security surveillance in southern part of Kebbi State.

The Special Advised on Security matter to the State governor, Rtd Major Garba Rabiu Kamba presented the keys of the vehicles to the representative of the the General Officer Commanding 8 division, Nigerian Army, Major Muhammad Jamilu Abdulkareem in Government House Birnin Kebbi yesterday.

Kamba said it is effort to further curtail the activities of criminal elements especially banditry, armed robbery, kidnapping and cattle rustling,

He said ” On behalf of his excellency, Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu, today we are formally handing over the vehicles to 8 division Nigerian Army to be deployed to 223 Light Tank Battalion in Zuru “.

The Special Advised explained that the donation was to assist the Battalion in Zuru in fighting banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling which is becoming rampant in Southern part of Kebbi State.

He prayed that the donation will go along way in assisting the military in its efforts to wipe out banditry and incursion of bandits in the area to make Kebbi State more safer to all.

The Authority newspaper correspondent reports that the Kebbi State Government few months ago on Friday January 31 2020 has also donated and handed over Two new Toyota Hilux and Six Motorcycles to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) – Special Tactical Squad in Kebbi State in order to support and ease their operations against criminals especially bandits.
