Enugu gov applauds NYSC for contribution in healthcare dev

Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has commended National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members for their role in healthcare development in the state.

He gave the commendation during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2020 Batch A orientation course at the NYSC orientation camp, Agwu Local Government area.

Represented by his Special Advisor on Special Duties, Uwakwe Azikiwe, the governor advised the Corp members to shun acts that are capable of tarnishing the image of the scheme and the nation.

The governor encouraged the corp members to be disciplined and contribute their quota to the development of the nation.

He, however, reiterated his administration’s commitment in ensuring safety and welfare of corps members in the state.

The governor also congratulated the scheme for creating history by winning the DG’s cup for the first time.

Speaking, the Enugu State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Ujogu Sam, applauded the governor for approving the deployment of medical personnel from the state’s health ministry to check the spread of diseases and the Covid-19 virus.

Mr. Ujogu admonished the corps members to respect constituted authorities, vowing that indiscipline would not be tolerated.

The event was attended by the newly elected chairman of Agwu Local Government Hon. Pedro Nwankwo, Special Advisor to the Governor on Corps Maison Affairs among other distinguished personalities.
