COVID-19: Senator Gyang reaches out to constituents to mitigate against lockdown

Following the coronavirus pandemic that has ravaged the world, Nigeria inclusive, and with certain measures taken by governments at all levels to stem the scourge, the Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Istifanus Gyang is reaching out with food aid to the weak and vulnerable in his Constituency.

This is coming barely 48 hours to the planned lockdown of the state for fumigation purposes,
to avoid spread of the COVID-19 into the state.

Gyang disclosed this through his Special Adviser Media and Protocol, Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, in Jos, the state capital.

He said the food aid targets, “Widows, Orphans, Persons Living With Disabilities and Youths”.

According to him, “The food items shall be distributed simultaneously in all the six LGAs of Plateau North on Wednesday 8 April, 2020.

The Lawmaker urged all citizens to adhere to the safety measures put in place by government and observe hand washing and social distancing among others.

“We are persuaded that God’s mercy will help the nation overcome the battle against COVID-19, Amen!
