COVID-19: Rivers Lawmaker, Nnam-Obi, donates relief materials to community

Following the lockdown necessitated by the need to control and contain the spread of the rampaging coronavirus, and its attendant effects of the people, the Lawmaker representing Awelga & Onelga Federla constituency,Rivers state, Honourable Prince Uchechukchu Nnam-Obi has joined federal cabinet ministers, House of Representatives members and top business moguls in the country in providing palliatives and educate his for the people.

Hon Nnam-Obi, who had responded to the needs of the community described as an agrarian and low income people, said his immediate intervention is to salvage the people from the emergent hunger occasioned by the lockdown and the Coronavirus epidemic

COVID 19 is a killer ailment and a national and global order has been placed to avoid it’s spread. For the main time, avoid crowded places, wash hands with soap always, use sanitizer, temporarily stay isolated, cover your respiratory channels/ organs, Nnam-Obi advice this if you feel feverish, intense coughing, trouth etching etc, please approach the nearest government hospital for check-up.

He said, “The shutdown had been long expected since the advent of the dreaded Corona Virus. Nations had been locked down; states alike. It was only a matter of time, Rivers could join the list; so the call for a lockdown was also a beginning of unprecedented hunger and starvations’’

He assured that the plight of the people of rivers and federal constituency was his responsibility and will never look back at whatever forms of empowerment at his disposal to provide for them, irrespective of party affiliations.
