From Francis Nansak , Lafia

Former Governor of Nasarawa state and now senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has hailed president Muhammadu Buhari on the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Gambari, to succeed the late Abba Kyari, as his Chief of Staff.

Senator Al-Makura while commending Mr President on Sunday in his Lafia home, said for everyone who knows Professor Ibrahim Gambari, he is a great sense of hope to every Nigerian as he occupies the office.

According to him, Professor Gambari is a man who wears different caps that the country needs at this point in time.

“He is a scholar, a diplomat and he is a highly resourceful person. One who have seen it all; from a local environment in Nigeria, as a lecturer, a DG of International Affairs, he was the Permanent Representative at United Nations.

“To get someone that is so versatile and at this point in time to be part of the decision making for this country gives everyone a great sense of hope.

“And the leadership of this country is value-added to it. My appeal to citizens of this country is to give the government the needed cooperation to help the administration succeed,” Senator Al-Makura said.

The former governor said the newly appointed chief of staff has been his lecturer when he was in A.B.U as a student, which makes him knowledgeable of the kind of person Professor Gambari is.
