Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is being chased by Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.
According to Spanish media outlet Defensa Central , Real Madrid have prioritized the signing of a holding midfielder in the upcoming transfer window to provide cover for Brazilian Casemiro.
Rennes teenager Eduardo Camavinga has been identified as Real Madrid’s top target but the obstacle to a deal is that the France U21 international is valued at €75 million.
Real Madrid view Ndidi as a cheaper alternative to the Angolan-born midfielder who is wanted by almost all the big clubs in Europe.
Having said that, the Leicester City ace won’t come that cheap as he is valued at €36 million by Transfermarket, the costliest Nigerian player ahead of Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen.
Ndidi has been a revelation since his arrival at Leicester City and he is contracted to the club until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
The 23-year-old has been linked with PSG, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
