Niger APC Crisis: 25 LG Exco support Caretaker c’ttee

The Legal Adviser to the ruling All progressive Congress (APC), in Niger state, Barrister Khalid Ibrahim, says all the party executives in the twenty five local government areas of the state have given their support to the recent sacking of the state Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of the party

Khalid told journalist that since a vote of no confidence has been passed on the leadership of the Ibrahim Imam led executive, the congress has empower the caretaker committee to carry out the daily activities of the party for the deepening of party politics in the state.

According to the legal adviser, “following the vote of no confidence passed on the three principal officers of the party, the caretaker committee led by Alhaji Aliyu Saidu Galkogo finally took over the affairs of the party and are fully in control of the affairs at the party secretariat

“Let me state categorically that, the former chairman, Imam Ibrahim is gone for good, as you can see for yourself here, I was the Legal Adviser of the party under him, and more than two-third majority passed a vote of no confidence to remove him, the Secretary and Treasurer from office

“The accusations levied against them bordered on misappropriation, gross misconduct and high handedness, and the panel that was set up to investigate them indicted them and actions were taken, after notifying the national secretariat”

He also disclosed that the APC National Caretaker Committee send a delegation to Minna, to unravel the circumstances, which he noted saved the party from avoidable chaos and that they were adequately briefed on the present status of the party.
