No more recklessness on Abuja roads-VIO

The Directorate of Road Traffic Services populary known as VIO Wuye task force Command has taken measures to eliminate rickety vehicles plying the FCT roads.

Area Commander in charge of Wuye, a satellite town in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Usman Suleiman disclosed this while inspecting the movement of impounded motorcycles to Gosa dumping site.

Suleiman who doubles as an Assistant Chief Road Technical Officer (ACRTO) reiterated his commitment to tackle one chance activities, wrong parking and related traffic infractions on the routes.

He appreciated the efforts of his subordinates for contributing their quota in the area of carrying out successful operations in the Command.

Suleiman noted that the team work would be the focus of members of the DRTS task team with a view to ensuring the aims and objectives of setting up the team is achieved.

The VIO officer called on commercial drivers to use Abuja colour as well as red plate number, warning that the command under his watch would not allow motorists violating FCT traffic laws.

The Wuye VIO head warned that illegal parks and mechanic workshops would not be allowed to operate in the city centres just as he tasked members of the public to look for areas approved for such business.

The Area Commander admonished Okada riders to abide by traffic regulations banning their operation even as he implored them to move to the suburbs where they were permitted to operate.
