We have fulfilled our promises to residents – AMAC chair

The chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Abdullahi Candido has said his administration has fulfilled the campaign promises to the residents.

He said during his campaign, he promised to set up four companies that would create employment and boost revenue generation.

Candido stated that his administration had set up the four companies since it came on board in 2016, AMAC Marshal, AMAC Microfinance Bank, AMAC Investment and Property Development Company all liecneced and functioning.

The chairman said AMAC Community Radio is liecenced by the law and would soon start operation, “anytime we leave the area council we will be proud because our dreams have been fulfilled”

He stated this when he presented the national operational licence to the Marshal General, which he said with the licence the guard was free to go about its normal activities without any intimidation.

According to him, the AMAC Marshal Guard was established in August, 2016 but its operation was affected by non operational licence.

Candido also granted the guard autonomous to be an independent body that would establish relationship with cooperate institutions on how to raise more resources and fund it activities.

He said, “AMAC Marshal Guard, with the operational licence it can go and do business anywhere with any private guard, and you are free to operate as guided by the law.What is expected of us is to find sustainability and continuity to remain in business.

“AMAC Marshal is now autonomous, the company can go out and do business except in area of supervision that the council will come in. Go out and get more clients and then do business, AMAC role is to ensure that the business is running” he said
