A Middle Belt group, under that aegis of Middle-Belt United Assembly (MBUA), has described the continued retention of Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubarkar Malami (SAN) in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as dangeroyus to the image of the President
The group in a statement issued Sunday by its president, Comrade Moses Mwarga, in Kaduna, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack Minister to be able to sanitize his government.
The group noted that Malami has been associated with too many controversies and allegations which are too weighty to be ignored considering the sensitive nature of the office he occupies.
The statement warned that President Buhari’s legacies would be destroyed if he allows the AGF to continue in office, advising the President to immediately shop for a more competent, reliable and above all a man or woman of high integrity to appoint as new AGF.
According to the statement, “AGF Malami has been accused of many wrong doings. Controversies and allegations hanging on Malami’s neck are too weighty to be ignored. It is now time for President Muhammadu Buhari to replace him with a more reliable person to work for the country.”
The statement noted that President Buhari was voted by the majority of Nigerians to fix their problems but things are getting worse and out of hand, stressing that most of Buhari’s appointees are not helping him as the appointees are for their personal interests and not the interest of Nigerians.
It also noted that the economy and security are grounded, the economy, security are in terrible shape and while commending Mr President for his infrastructure drive, the group advised Mr President to urgently restructure his administration and bring in good hands to help him fix the country.
