Ngige, Ubah in fierce battle for soul of Anambra APC

The stage may been set for the battle over the control of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and the party’s governorship candidate in the just concluded November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra state, senator Andy Ubah have fixed separate stakeholders meeting to be held today at different locations in Abuja

The meetings, The AUTHORITY gathered are for the two contenders to put their houses in order, ahead of the party’s Ward, Local Government and State congresses which will soon be conducted

It would be recalled that the APC national Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Planning Committee had suspended the congresses in Anambra state because of the last election, which the party came \a distant third behind APGA and PDP

The AIUTHORITY gathered that while Ngige is expected to meet with his preferred party caucus at his residence, the Andy group will meet at a location in Maitama, with all the meetings taking place today, Friday

The leaders according an inside source may have divided the caretaker executive of thje party as it was revealed that while the Ngige faction is been led by the state secretary, Chukwuma Agufugo, the Uba’s group is led by the state acting chairman, Basil Ejidike.
