2023 Presidency: Nigerian big wigs endorse Anyim

A plethora of endorsements have landed on the palms of the former President of the Senate and  ex-SGF, Anyim Pius Anyim, as he throws in his hat into the ring for contest for the 2023 presidency. 

During his 61st birthday celebration on 19 February, where Anyim unveiled what he dubbed his “Greater Nigeria” vision, several Nigerian dignitaries and political behemoth elucidated his unique leadership qualities.

Prominent among those was the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who did not mince words to applaud Anyim’s leadership qualities as the nation’s number one senator.

Also, former President Goodluck Jonathan showered encomiums on Anyim, describing him as “a perfect gentlemen and humble leader”.

Jonathan recalled his several encounters with Anyim, stressing that he found in Anyim a man of courage, kindness, one that meticulously pursues set assignments and a consummate administrtor”.

Equally, former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, said that Nigerian leadership requires a person with high level of “integrity, commitment and hard work”, adding that these are some of the qualities that describe Sen. Anyim. 

Also, former Senate President, Sen. David Mark, commended Anyim for never being disappointing in the delivery of his duties and always putting the nation first.

A former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, speaking through Alhaji Mohammed Mohammed, said: “Anyim is a leader who cares and understands what the needs of the people are”. 

He wished him well for a higher national assignment.

Other dignitaries including former Gov. Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto State; former Senate President, Sen. Adolphus Wabara; erudite lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), among others spoke in superlative adjectives regarding Sen. Anyim and acknowledged his suitability to hold the office of the Nigerian presidency.
