Jos North/Bassa bye-election: Avia’s win has revitalize, injected fresh hope, energy in reclaiming power in 2023- Chief Akun

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Chief Sunday Akun has described the victory of Hon Musa Agah Avia in the recent bye-election in Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency as a sign of greater opportunity ahead of 2023 general elections.

He said, the victory has “revitalize and injected fresh hope and energy” of taking over Plateau State.

Akin disclosed this to journalists, while reacting to Avia’s victory.

It would be recalled that Hon. Musa Agah Avia who is the current member representing Irigwe/Rukuba Constituency in the Plateau State House Assembly polled a total of 40, 343 votes to emerge winner of the aforementioned election.

Avia was closely followed by the Peoples Redemption Party’s candidate Mohammed Adams Gwani, who polled 37, 857 votes, while the ruling All Progressives Congress candidate, Joseph Abbey Aku, who came a distant 3rd, scored 26, 111 votes.

He said, “It is time to close ranks, upgrade our strategies and ensure we remain very focus and highly commited towards greater achievements.

According to Akun who is a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the PDP, “Our gallant patriotic youths, women, critical stakeholders as well as our leaders who move through the hot sun and dust in championing this unique victory, deserve commendation, thunderous applause and special salutation.

“We are miles away from restoring the hope, dignity and confidence of the good People of Plateau State towards owning a Government who’s responsibility is the security,welfare and economic prosperity of the people”, he admonished.
