The Mandate Secretariat FCT Transportation Secretariat, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi, has identified the media as strategic in the quest to accelerate the development and efficient management of Transportation sector in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Angulu particularly noted that in recognition of the important role that the media play in the society, the transportation Secretariat will always remain very open for media practitioners especially members of the FCT Minister’s Press Corps.
According to him, the Transportation Secretariat and media practitioners as stakeholders in the Abuja project can always come together to rob minds on how they can move the transportation sector forward.
He spoke yesterday during an interaction with some members of the FCT Minister’s Press Corps, who paid him a visit, on the occasion of the his birthday.
“Since I assumed office as the Secretary Transportation Secretariat, I have enjoyed your support. And I’m saying this from my heart, as I have read so many write-ups in respect to Transportation secretariat. I believe that things should be done in the simplest way.
“I did told myself that my office and by extension Transportation Secretariat will always remain very open for the members of the Press Corps. And assured that each time you are in the Secretariat, you will have my attention. I remain your subject, I’m completely your subject, and I remain your servant.
“I see politics as one game that if you use it well, you get exposed to life. It is not all about accumulating power, and looking down on the people, it should be struggling for this power to impact positively in lives of the people.
“I want to say that so long as I live and remain in government here in FCT Administration and anywhere else, you don’t need an appointment to see me or do business with me”.
