2023: I cannot be distracted –  Saraki

Front line Presidential hopeful and former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki said contrary to imaginary media reports, he has not stepped down his ambition of seeking to provide effective and efficient leadership for the country come 2023.

The former two-term governor of Kwara State said he cannot be distracted in his quest to win the election to restore Nigeria back to its position of fame, integrity, and glory.

He said he is very much in the race and will soon make an open declaration to the nation.

Saraki who spoke through the Chairman of his National Campaign Council, Prof Hagher Iorwuese, while responding to insinuations that he has stepped down from the race.

According to him, Saraki is one of the Presidential aspirants moving round the country to seek support and reveal his blueprint to the nation and has not contemplated backing out of the race. 

” Saraki is too busy to be distracted by such lazy lies and brazen figments of imagination. Right now he is on a tour of the entire nation to defend his ambition before the Stakeholders and the good people of Nigeria

“The former Senate President (Saraki)and other presidential aspirants, out of their love for the country, recently began talks towards the possibility of a consensus arrangement. 

“The three of them, Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi recently met in Bauchi and also in Makurdi to express their readiness toward having a consensus candidate from the north. 

“Discussions are on at the moment and the outcome of which will be communicated to the nation. So for someone to quickly want to play the smart one is not only laughable but funny. It could be an act of desperation or mischief. Our principal has not stepped down for anyone but has been energetically moving around the nation to rub minds with Nigerians and seek their support and blessings.”
