Gwagwalada Chairman-elect preaches peace to residents

The Chairman – elect for  Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital  Territory(FCT), Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, has called on both Muslims and Christians to continue to live in peace with one another irrespective of their religious inclinations.


He  made the appeal in an interview with some Journalists after the Sallah celebration in his home town at Giri, near University of Abuja (UniAbuja).


The chairman charged the residents of Gwagwalada and its environs to always shun any act capable of causing rancor and acrimony in the area,saying that no Community could develop in the atmosphere of violence.
He, however advised the youth to shun any intoxicating substance during.


On Security issues, he said the security challenges facing the country will be overcome, even as he appealed to Muslims and Christians to pray to God to arrest the situation.


Giri used the Sallah celebration to promise that his administration will focus on the infrastructure development, adding that his leadership will maintain good relationship(s) with the politicians and civil servants.
