Why I run multiple empowerment schemes ― Titi Dama, CEO Braids by Titi

Cameroon-born founder and CEO of Ameican brands Braids by Titi and Brighttiss LLC has disclosed her motivation for getting involved in various empowerment programmes for her African compatriots.

Priskeylia Tifu Dama, better known as Titi Dama has among other initiatives floated “Academic Empowerment with Titi Dama” and “Business Empowerment with Titi Dama” which in recent years have given many Cameroonians lifelines.

The “Academic Empowerment with Titi Dama,” she explained, is an initiative to alleviate illiteracy and also support youths and children to achieve maximum academic excellence in every of their chosen fields.
“The empowerment scheme entails the funding of students that cannot afford the compulsory fees of their various academic institutes of learning. Nobody deserves to be denied the right to quality education, touching lives through this medium makes me feel accomplished and fulfilled,” she explained.

The main purpose of her second programme, “Business Empowerment with Titi Dama”, she pointed out, is to help small-scale businesses thrive financially to boost their productivity and enhance large scale growth.
“From my early entrepreneurship days, I knew how it was tedious to start up a business, to source for funding and make the business flourish. It was a major challenge for me personally but I later figured out how to attain the current status,” she said.

Speaking further, she avowed: “This empowerment is for people with an existing or running business. A proper follow up of every business supported is being done to ensure suitable feedback and value for the empowerment program. Numerous businesses have been impacted by the effect of the empowerment scheme.”
