Since its opening on November 12, 2021, Edge Barbershop Trondheim has retained its reputation as Norway’s biggest barbershop. The shop, which opens on weekdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm, was established by ex-footballer and plumbing engineer, Jeffter Ohene Kwaah, whose profile is best summed up as a serial entrepreneur with interests in a number of businesses.
Kwaah, who self-describes himself as a “Norway-based Ghanaian,” is originally from Akyem Aduasa in the West African country of Ghana but was raised in the Scandinavian country and has lived his life as a Norwegian.
His name, Jeffter Ohene Kwaah, resonates strongly with football fans, having played professional football for 10 years from 2004 to 2014 for Norwegian club Strindheim TF and also for Ghana’s under-20 team in 2010.
He also worked as a model for Surface Models Management in New York for three years before toeing the path of entrepreneurship, an endeavour that has paid off for him given the chain of diverse businesses and brands he has pushed, founded, and nurtured over the years.
Despite his training as a plumber and his childhood ambition to be a footballer, he is presently defined by his exploits in business.
His instinct for finding opportunities was epitomised by his founding of the Edge Barbershop franchise, despite not being a barber.
The Edge Barbershop Trondheim, occupying a space of 280 metres square and acclaimed as the biggest barbershop in Norway, has been featured in the local newspaper and is something of a celebrity barbershop.
The brand has become a fascination with its Edge Coffee Lounge, which offers premium coffee and delectable accompaniments to patrons.
The Edge Barbershop franchise already has an Oslo-based barber school that offers courses in barbering and wet shaving.
