Police nab personnel involve in Lagos Club shooting

The authorities of the Nigeria Police Force have confirmed the arrest of the officers allegedly involved in the shooting of a man at a Club in Lagos.

It would be recalled that the media was a washed with news of the police personal attached to a popular musician allegedly shot a man at Club Cubana in Victoria Island, Lagos.

A statement by the Force Spokesman, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the Police personnel alleged and identified in the “shooting incident at Club Cubana in Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday  have been taken into custody and  are being investigated for their involvement in the incident.”

The statement quoted the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali, as describing the circumstances surrounding the incident as unbelievable and therefore, condemned, in the strongest terms,  the unfortunate incident. 

The IGP has, therefore, directed the Commissioner of Police (CP), Lagos State, Abiodun Alabi, to carry out thorough investigation into the matter and forward his report as urgent as possible for further action.
