AMAC new chairman takes charge

The newly swore-in chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has taken over affairs of the council from Abdullahi Adamu Candido, the outgoing chairman.

Maikalangu in his remarks during the taking over ceremony on Tuesday at the council’s chambers, congratulated AMAC residents and the party supporters for supporting him to emerged as the chairman.

He promised to work for the development of the Area Council.

The chairman urged the residents to support his administration to deliver dividends of democracy in line with the mandate of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

In his remarks, the outgoing chairman Abdullahi Adamu Candido said though his administration was leaving but is at the door to offer useful advise that will better the administration. 

He explained that government was transit, therefore all the stakeholders that work with him should extend the same hand of fellowship to the new administration.
