Ganduje Promises Juicy Welfare Packages For Information Managers

Kano state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba has conveyed Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s desire to ensure juicy welfare packages for information managers in the state.

Malam Garba further expressed the commitment of Ganduje’s administration towards fashioning out new policies and programme aimed at improving the welfare of information managers across the state.

He gave the assurance while inaugurating the newly elected executive members of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ), Information chapter, held at the ministry’s Conference Hall.

According to a Statement by the Ministry’s Director of Special Duties, Sani Abba Yola, the Commissioner maintained that Governor Ganduje had mandated the ministry to come up with more initiatives that would improve the performance of information officers of Local Government Areas and MDA’s in the state.

Garba explained that the administration would also ensure full operations of all the departments in the ministry for effective information dessimination.

He said this would provide the officers with an enabling environment to discharge their responsibilities.

In his remark, the state chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, urged the new executives to live up to expectation by discharging their duties in accordance with the constitution of union.

Abbas however, called on other members of the union to always abide by the ethics of the noble profession especially now that election is around the corner.

Speaking on behalf of the new executives, the chairman, Comrade Suleiman Isah Dederi, assured of their commitment to discharge their hi h duties diligently.

He therefore solocited the coorperation of all members so as to achieve the set goals.
