Two  trapped as building collapses in Abuja

Two  persons have been trapped as a shopping mall in Kubwa, the  Federal Capital Territory, Abuja collapses in the  late hours of Thursday.

The incident which happened around 11:25pm on Thursday was said to have been caused by alterations of the building plan.

Eyewitnesses said the owner of the  building converted the second floor to residential apartment of three and two bedroom flats respectively while the ground floor was used for shops.

Four person have been rescued alive from the rubbles of the collapsed building while two person were still trapped.

Though as at time of filing this report rescue operation was ongoing by officials of the  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), National Emergency Management Agency  (NEMA), FCT Fire Service, Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and others.
