The apex Socio political pressure group from Enugu West Senatorial zone of Enugu state popularly known as ‘IFEMELUNMA'(Things worth doing well)has assurred Barr.Peter Mbah,the Enugu state PDP Governorship candidate in the 2023 general election, of overwhelming victory of the pafty in the zone .
The Socio political pressure group gave this assurance when they hosted Peter Mbah and his entourage in Enugu on Saturday,October 8,stating that Labour party and the other parties does not constitute a threat to the rooting of PDP in Enugu West senatorial district.
The leader/convener of the group,Senator Ben Collins Ndu,narrated how the pressure group stood firm with the rotational/ zoning principle of the Enugu state governorship seat which presently favours Enugu East senatorial district and rallied the grassroots of the zone to allign with principle through a rally held at Awgu local government headquaters in 2021.
Senator Ndu who is the immediate past Senator of the district assured that IFEMELUNMA will work tirelessly to ensure victory for Peter Mbah and other PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections.
Senator Ndu stated,”We want to give you the largest votes,even more than other zones in the state.We are solidly behind you and we shall do whatever we can to support.
The Secretary of the pressure group,Dr Eric Oluedo,who is a former commissioner in Enugu state corroborated Senator Ndu’s statenent that they will enhance victory for Peter Mbah and other PDP candidates in the zone,come 2023 General elections. Other speakers gave same assurance.
In his response,Mbah commended the group for their support to PDP and tasked them to braize up for more work ahead

His words,”The implication of your decision which led to my emergence is that we are taking Enugu state to a higher level.We are going to re invent ourselves and move the state forward”.
“We have the capacity,credibility and competence to lead the state out of existential threat facing our country. We are going to partner Enugu West in the Journey.We shall continue to have handshakes from the East to the West”,Mbah stated.
Checks revealed that the Labour party Governorship candidate Barr Chijioke Edeoga’s running mate,Dr Nwokeabia,hails from Achi in Oji River local government area,under Enugu West senatorial zone,thereby raising fears whether the electorates in the zone will be divide their votes against PDP in 2023.
PDP has maintained total control of all electoral positions in Enugu state and by extension,Enugu West senatorial district since the 2003 general elections in the state.
Meanwhile,Barr Peter Campaign Organisation has concluded plans for Mbah to unveil his manifesto of developing Enugu state to the general public on Thursday,October 13.
The event will hold at Barr Peter Mbah auditotrium,Godfrey Okoye University,Thinkers Corner,Enugu.
The presentation which was earlier scheduled few months back at same venue,was put on hold so as not to offend the electoral act.But now holding since 2023 general elections has kicked off in compliance with 2023 electoral act guidelines.
