New Enugu REC urge residents to collect their PVC’s.

The new Resident Electoral Commissioner [REC] in charge of Enugu state operations of  Independent Electoral Commission[INEC],Dr Chukwuemeka Joseph Chukwu, has urged all registered voters in the state,who are yet to collect their voters card to avail the opportunity offered by the commission,from Saturday, November 12 to 19, to go to their respective wards to clarify their names and if every data about themselves were accurately written,if not there is room for correction instantly,before the commission will commence the final printing exercise.

Dr Chukwu made the appeal in a brief chat with news men after his maiden meeting with officials and members of staff at  INEC office in Enugu. He disclosed that the seven day exercise which commences tomorrow will capture all the 4145 polling units across the 260 electoral wards in Enugu state. Thereafter, the second phase will be shifted to the 17 local government headquarters from November 19 to November 25.

He assured that the commission under his watch will do all humanly possible to conduct a free and fair credible election in the state,stating the commission is seriously working hard towards that direction.

The new Enugu Resident Electoral Commissioner,Dr Chukwuemeka Chukwu takes after Dr Emeka Ononamadu, who a few months ago retired from public service.
