Nasarawa is financially solvent, can pay salaries before federal allocations are remitted–Gov Sule

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has said that as a businessman, the state is financially solvent and can pay two months salaries in advance in both local government councils and the state public service before the federal allocations are remitted to states.
The governor is seeking reelection for a second term and he stated this during a campaign rally at Akwanga in Nasarawa State yesterday.

Sule who have held positions as the Chief Executive Officer of African Petroleum Plc and Group Managing Director of Dangote Sugar Refinery, also dispelled rumours that he is using state funds to campaign.

According to him, a fund raising organised by his friends to source for funds for his reelection raked in over a billion naira.

The governor further disclosed that his administration has introduced various reforms aimed at bringing sustainable development and growth in various sectors in the state, which have started manifesting .
He accused the opposition of cheap blackmails and lacking ideas, adding that if reelected, he will consolidate on his achievements.
