…Receives Members Of National Human Rights Commission

Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mamman Dauda has assured the Kano Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) of his adequate support and cooperation in fighting crime in the state, stating the need for all security formations to work in synergy.
The Commissioner of Police also received members of the National Human Rights Commission, Kano Office led by Hajia Amina Bulama Tabi’u
In his remarks, Mr. Mamman Dauda said, “I feel delighted to be in your office, and I appreciate the reception, it shows that the synergy is working as we are doing the same work of ensuring security and safety.
“I visited as a brother in ensuring internal security to introduce myself as the Commissioner of Police of Kano State Police Command, acquaint myself with your officers and as partners in progress seek continuous support and collaboration.
“We will achieve more results when we work together. On my arrival to Kano State, I met a working synergy among the security agencies in the State. We are at your office to solicit your support and cooperation, as we are ready to continue to work together, share intelligence and achieve the desired goal of security and safety of the good people of Kano State.”
In his response, the Kano Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari, stated that, “I’m highly privileged and honoured to receive you in my office. I don’t know how to express joy. This shows that the synergy is working.
“Part of why Kano is peaceful is because of the security agencies in the State. We work as one, and no doubt, we will continue to give you all the necessary cooperation you needed to succeed. With what I heard about you, I’m sure we will achieve more to make Kano State safe and secure.
“We are very much sure, as far as internal security is concerned, the Police are the lead agency. Therefore, we will continue to give you maximum cooperation. Our doors are always open. I wish you a successful tenure in Kano State, and Insha Allah you will succeed.”
Meanwhile, Hajia Amina Bulama had told CP Dauda in his office that, “It’s my honour and pleasure to be with you in this annual event of commemorating the 16 days activism which is a UN global event fighting the scourge of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in the world.
“We need a more collaborative approach in fighting the menace as the Police are an important stakeholder. We thank you sir and pray for the Almighty Allah’s guidance in all endeavours.”
In his response, CP Mamman Dauda, psc(+) stated that, “the Police and the Human Rights have a common goal, that is the protection and promotion of Human Rights. When we come together and work collectively we will overcome our challenges. Our doors at open for you anytime and we will continue to give you all the necessary support and cooperation.”
