2023: Zamfara governor, Matawalle flags-off campaign

”It is only through support, understanding and cooperation that every state or nation can progress all over the world. It is therefore against this background that I am soliciting for your support and cooperation so that we will together move our state forward, in other words to allow the present government to continue from where it will stop, come may 2023 so that it will forge ahead in its quest to developing the state.”

These were the words of distinguished senator Alhaji Yahaya Kaura at the occasion of the official flagging off the gubernatorial campaign of the incumbent governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Bello Maradun.

Tijjani Yahaya who also doubles as the Director-General of the campaign council of the governor, explained that the governor performed excellently from the day he took over the affairs of the state to date and if given another chance, it is believed that he will redouble the efforts of transforming the state economically and politically.

According to the DG campaign, the people of the state are living witnesses that the present administration under the APC has, with no doubt given the state a positive change despite cash crunch which had hit not only it but the entire nation. We all know that the entire nation has been affected by the economic melt down coupled with the corona virus, but inspite all the governor was able to do a lot of things to the people, especially in the areas of education, health and economy.

He was able to empower women and youths through the disbursement of cash for self reliance and in the area of security, he is still doing all he can to ensure peace returned to the state.”

In his remarks earlier the former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari stated that he was happy that all the stakeholders across the state have agreed to reunite themselves after a long period of political crisis that bedeviled the state.

YAri who is also the chairman of the campaign council disclosed that the reconciliation between his faction and that of the governor has yielded a goof fruit. “you can see that we have all reunited, and I believe we will succeed in the crusade, and without this reconciliation, our gathering today would not have been possible I therefore urge you to join us so that together we will move our state forward”.
