Enugu 2023- Prof.Ugwu galvanises grass root support for Gov. Ugwuanyi,  Mbah, Okechi.

From Maurice Okafor, Enugu.

One of the foundation members of PDP, Enugu state chapter, who has equally played unquantified roles in strenghtening party politics in the state, Prof Godsmark Eddy Ugwu, has thrown his weight behind the choice of Peter Mbah, as the governorship candidate of the party,Governor Ugwuanyi as the PDP candidate for Enugu East senatorial district and Mr Vitus Okechi, for Igbo Eze South state house of assembly.

Prof Ugwu said he has gone further to print hand bills and fliers with which he canvasses for grassroots support for all the PDP candidates,in the February 25 and March 11,2023 general elections,

Prof Ugwu, who participated in the 2022 state PDP party primaries for Enugu North Senatorial district , which was eventually won by Governor  Ugwuanyi, said he is currently gingering grass root support across Igbo Eze South local government area, urging the electorates to vote for Dr Ugwuanyi as next Enugu North senatorial district and every other candidate of PDP,contesting the 2023 general election.

Prof. Ugwu stated.’ As a foundation member of PDP in Enugu state, my loyalty to the leadership of the party  in Enugu state is not in doubt. Therefore he  decided to support our candidates who scaled through the primaries.

‘The choice of Peter Mbah as our governorship candidate is unparralled. He will bring his experience in the business world to bear in the development of Enugu state.

‘Governor Ugwuanyi’s ambition to return to the National Assembly this time around to the Red Chambers is on the best interest of our people. It is my wish that PDP will excel in all the elections.

‘On my own part. I am seriously galvanising grass root support across the entire Igbo Eze South local, enlightening and engaging them to stay put with PDP by voting for Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for senate on February 25, National Assembly election. Then Peter Mbah for governor and  Vitus Okechi for Igbo Eze South state assembly elections.

Prof.Ugwu said he printed handbills and fliers with which he ‘walks the talks’ with his group.
