… As Emir Urges Nigerians To Promote Peace, Unity

The chairman of Kano state Council of Emirs, His Highness, Dr. Aminu Ado Bayero has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid El Fitr.
The First Class Monarch who is the Emir of Kano also urged Nigerians to remain law abiding and avoid any acts capable of destroying the tenets of peace and unity.
He said Nigerians need peaceful co-existence to promote socio-economic development in the country.
The Emir who spoke in the Hausa language, after Eid prayers and sermons at the Kano Central Mosque.
He called on the people to always be law-abiding, urging them to report suspicious actions and movements to security agencies.
He enjoined the people to accord the forthcoming National population census the needed support for the exercise to achieve maximum success.
Dressed in colourful traditional attire, accompanied by District Heads and other traditional title holders, Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, rode on a horse and followed the routes of Kofar Wambai, Charanchi, Zagge and Doroyi before giving the Eid message at Kofar Boru where a mini durbar was also held.
During the sermon earlier, the chief Iman of Kano state Professor Sani Zarhadeen urged the Muslim faithful to emulate and practice the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan especially extending good gestures to the needy.
The Chief Imam who spoke in the Arabic language appealed to the general populace to redouble their effort in praying for continuous peace and harmony in the state.
The AUTHORITY reports that Eid prayers and durbar were held in the other four emirate councils of Rano, Gaya, Bichi and Karaye.
However, in his Eid El Fitr message signed by Uba Abdullahi, Chief Press Secretary,
Kano State House of Assembly, Speaker of Kano state House of Assembly, Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, congratulated Muslim Ummah over Edil Fitr Sallah Celebration.
According to the message: “The Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly and Member-elect, Dambatta/Makoda Federal House of Representatives Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has congratulated the Muslims Ummah on the occasion of Edil Fitr Sallah festivities and completion of Ramadan Period
“Speaker Chidari, stated this in a Sallah Message to the people of the State pointing out that to continue enjoying peaceful coexistence and harmony we have to imbibe the teaching of Ramadan period especially tolerance, blessings and forgiveness of the holy month
“He appealed to the people of the State to always display high sense of maturity in all their undertakings which he identified as the gateway for a sustained relations among members of the society
” Likewise Speaker Chidari said “on behalf of the respected Honorable members of the Honorable House I wish to congratulates the Executive Governor and members of the executive council as well as our traditional institutions who remain the custodian of people culture,norms and value over Edil Fitr Sallah Celebration.
“He pray to Allah in SWT for the overall development of the State among it’s contemporaries.
“He similarly assured the people of his Constituency of effective representation at the National Assembly.”
Also, Director-General of Kano state Bureau for Land Management, Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji, congratulated Muslim faithful.
In her Sallah message, she congratulated His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Khadimul Islam, and Her Excellency, Professor Hafsat Ganduje, Staff of the Bureau and the entire Muslim ummah.
A Statement signed by Murtala Shehu Umar,
Information Officer of the Bureau, indicated that: “Dr. Braji also enjoins Muslim faithful to use what they have learnt during the month of Ramadhan into practice such as: love, affection, tolerance, peace, charity and fear of Allah.
“The Director General,, emphasizes the need for more prayers for peace, prosperity and economic stability.
“Dr. Braji thanks the Almighty Allah for giving us yet another opportunity to observed fasting and other good deed in the month of Ramadhan month of blessings and rahma with good health and congratulated all Muslim for successfully completion of the fasting.
“She prayed for Allah subhanahu wata’ala to accept our ibadat, answer our prayers and forgive our shortcomings.
