All is set for Kano state to host the Nationwide League One (NLO) opening match slated to hold on May 3, 2023.
The Kwankwassiyya fc is warming up to slug it out with Kano Pillars fc JNR in star match on the D-day.
The NLO National Secretariat has chosen Sani Abacha stadium as the battle ground for the encounter.
The NLO National Media Officer (2), Mr. Abdulgafar Oladimeji who disclosed this in a Statement on Friday in Kano said the match will commence by 3 pm.
According to him, “the secretariat , said Kano city has been confirmed to play host to the official kick off game to mark the commencement of its 2023 season.
” The NLO said Kano Pillars JNR are scheduled to trade tackles against arch rival Kwankwasiyya fc on May 3 to ignite the start of hostilities across the country, in Nigeria’s third tier league.”
Mr. Oladimeji quoted the Chief Operating Officer, COO of the League, Olushola Ogunnowo as saying that: “The Nationwide League One Secretariat hereby wishes to inform all the clubs’ in the League that due to circumstances beyond our control we are forced to shift the earlier communicated date of commencement of the Nationwide League One season.
