Kano state Deputy Governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the state Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf and Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, in their separate messages, have felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid El Fitr.
Gawuna in a message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Musa Fagge, urged Muslims to prayers for peace and unity.
The Statement reads: “Kano State Deputy Governor Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna felicitates and congratulates Muslims in the State and Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-fitr and the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting and also pray that all their good deeds as well as supplications made to Almighty Allah (S.W.T) would be answered.
“He urged them to maintain the lessons taught by the Holy Month of Ramadan of acts of charity,piety and peaceful-coexistence and replicate it in their daily living.
“Ramadan was a month of unlimited blessings,offerings and rewards for muslims to avail.
“It was also a time to devote oneself in prayer and establish connection with Allah (S.W.T).
” Gawuna therefore called on the good people of the State to continue to be steadfast in prayers for the unity,peace and progress of Kano and Nigeria in general.
” While we appreciate your continued support to the State Government,may this joyful occasion of the Eid-el-fitr brings good health,happiness and prosperity to you.”
In his message signed by the Director, Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Environment, Ismail Garba Gwammaja, Getso called for fervent prayers.
The Statement reads: “Kano State Commissioner for Environment Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso felicitates and rejoice with Governor Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Deputy Governor Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Members of the state executive Council, special advisers, Emir of Kano Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero and other Muslims Ummah in the country on the occasion of eld-el-fitr and the successful completion of Ramadan fast.
“The Commissioner also enjoined good people in the state, especially staff of the ministry of environment to put in practice all the lesson and teaching learned during the Ramadan period for Allah’s blessing and guidance in all our dealings.
” Dr. Getso used the opportunity therefore, to appeals to the good people in the state to complement government concerted effort towards ensuring clean and healthy environment especially during this sallah festivities by ensuring proper disposal of waste and other unwanted products to a designated sites for immediate evacuation.
“Dr. Getso therefore enjoined People in the state to be steadfast and prayer for lasting peace and tranquility for speedy acceleration in the state, he added.
“While commending staff of the ministry of environment and members of “Keep Kano Clean Initiative” for their dedication and selfless service, he urged them to do more and maintain the flag flying for maximum benefit, and prayed that may this season bring joy and happiness for hitch free sallah festivities.”
The state Governor-elect through a Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, felicitated with Muslims on successful Ramadan fasting and Eidil-Fitr.
He cautioned against reckless driving, unguarded sallah celebrations for safety of residents.
The Statement reads: “Kano State Governor-elect, His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has felicitated Muslim Umah and people of Kano on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting.
” He said Ramadan has come to an end with the sighting of the crescent for Shawwal, lessons of compassion, generocity, descipline, patriotism and peaceful co-existence it taught should be sustained by the citizens for a better society we all crave.
” The State Governor-elect wished Umah Eidil-Fitr Mubarak and admonished good people of Kano to pray for Allah’s guidance for the leadership at all levels especially as the new government takes over on 29 May, 2023.
” Engr. Abba said better days are ahead of Kano people as the incoming government under his watch will create enabling policy environment for everyone to live in peace andharmony.
“He urged citizens to remain patriotic, peace-loving while praying for tranquility and prosperity of Kano and Nigeria at large.
“H.E. Abba Kabir Yusuf also cautioned against reckless driving and other unguarded salah celebrations with a view to ensure safety of all Kano residents.”
