The immediate past Director-General/CEO of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Olorogun Dr Rufus E. Ebegba KSJ, has received commendation from the Federal Ministry of Environment, Abuja, for his sterling performance during his tenure in the Agency.
A press statement from the Rufus Ebegba Media Office on Wednesday said the commendation which was personally signed by the Honorable Minister of Environment, Mohammed H. Abdullahi Esq, with ref no FMENV/ADM/949/139, on the 28th of April, 2023, conveyed the highest regards of the Ministry to Dr Ebegba for his stewardship, describing it as “outstanding”.
The minister said “The Ministry is indeed proud of your achievements in the sector, through purposeful leadership and uncommon passion for Biosafety, Biosecurity and Biotechnology in Nigeria”.
The Honorable Minister of Environment concluded by expressing hope in Dr Ebegba’s ability for greater achievement in opportune future endeavours, while urging him not to relent on his oars.
Olorogun Dr Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba KSJ, served as DG/CEO of the NBMA from 2015-2023, handing over to the new Director-General Dr Yemisi Asagbra in an elaborate ceremony just a week ago.
