Heartland FC gets Royal blessings ahead of the NNL Super 8

As strategic measure to fraternized with her host community and solicit support for her match with Stormer FC, Abeokuta today, Monday at  Stephen Keshi  Stadium, Asaba,  Heartland FC of Owerri  paid a courtesy  cum solidarity visit to the legendary Monarch of Asaba, His Royal Highness Obi Chike Edoziem, “The Asagba of Asaba.”

Heartland’s General Manager, Mr Promise Nwachukwu showered encomiums on the 99 year old Royal Father whom he described as an iconic leader whose legacies are worthy of emulation . 

Nwachukwu went further to intimate the Royal Father about Heartland’s quest to return to the top flight league through the Nigeeia National League, NNL Super 8 taking place in the King’s territory, seeking his blessings.

Responding, the Asagba of Asaba appreciated Heartland FC for the visit, according to him, it was heartwarming to see a group of young people who deemed it fit to acknowledge the custom, tradition and heritage of Asaba community.

He recalled with nostalgia how Enugu Rangers visited his Palace in 2018 before lifting the FA Cup in Asaba. “I recall how Rangers came here in 2018 seeking blessings to win the Cup which they won”.

He prayed for Heartland FC to succeed and excel in the Super 8.

Basking in the euphoria of the royal blessings, Heartland General Manager,

Mr Nwachukwu and  Nze Tonnex Chukwu, the club’s Licensing Officer, appreciated the King with a symbolic gesture of Heartland Jersey.
