The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, has demanded a retraction from Mr Gani Adams over the false claims that he was used to coordinate the execution of evil machinations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The order was contained in a letter titled, “Pre-Action Demand For the Retraction of Your Defamatory Imputations of, and Concerning Mr. Tayo Ayinde” signed by his attorney, Mr. Adeyinka Olumide – Fosuka and made available to newsmen in Lagos on Saturday.
He said, the allegation was false alarm aiming at tarnishing the image of the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, and requested an immediate retraction from the perpetrators.
According to him, “My instructions are therefore to respectfully demand that, you retract the false and wicked allegation, either through another ‘voice note to go round the same social media, or by a Press Release referencing and recanting the allegation.
“I do believe that this gentlemanly request will be voluntarily heeded by you without any on my client’s part to press you further on the subject”, he added.
The statement quoted inter alia refers; “My client, Mr. Tayo Ayinde (the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos, His Excellency, Sanwo-Olu), has been inundated with local and international telephone calls as well as personal visits informed by some references to him in a press release, titled “I did not take part in killing Chief Bolo Ige” by Chief Sunday Adeyemo (a.k.a. Igboho Oosa).
“In the press release release, Chief Sunday Adeyemo claimed to be reacting to “issues raised by the voice notes going around on social media”, “released by Aare Gani Adams which “attacked” his “character”.
“In the tenth paragraph of said press release, Chief Sunday Adeyemo stated, that you claimed, one Tayo Ayinde gave me money at his Ikeja Hotel on behalf of Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu on account of the Press Release
“The above reference to my client in the press release informed the interest of some of those familiar with him to go and listen to the “voice notes going around on social media” to know and understand the context of the reference allegedly made therein to him by you.
“The subsequent calls and visits to him by these persons followed the frightening claims and references of and concerning him in the “voice notes” which read as follows:
“I would send you a letter signed and sent by these people to Tinubu, imploring him to stop wasting time and give them the go-ahead to eliminate me. The letter was signed by them and sent to Tinubu’s Bourdillon address, and it was received there. Those are the characters in the circle of this thoughtless fellow he covets their association. My enemy’s friend is my enemy. He says we should combine forces to liberate our people, but he is in bed with enemies of our cause.
“So, be careful associating with Igboha Just last night, he was with Tayo Ayinde, the Logos State Governor’s Chief of Staff. He was heavily paid. You know that I have an extensive intelligence network as Aare Ona Kakonfo of Yorubaland. Until about 2:45am, he was with Tayo Ayinde, the Lagos State Governor’s Chief of Staff, who Tinubu also uses in Lagos to coordinate the execution of his evil machinations. He has been doing work of that nature for Tinubu since his days in the SSS.
“He resigned from the SSS, Ibadan to concentrate fully on such work for Tinubu, who compensated him with the office of Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor. It was at his hotel somewhere in Ikeja, Lagos, that Igboho visited him to collect money for logistics to confront me. Igbaho left lbadan at about midnight to attend this meeting which ended at about 2:45am.
“Tinubu, who was not physically in attendance, spoke and issued his instructions to Igboho on a special telephone line provided by the Chief of Staff. Thereafter, Tayo Ayinde gave N-45 million in cash to Igboho for the operation, thus shortchanging Igboho to the tune of N-5 million out of the N-50 million purse provided by Tinubu. The discovery of this has brewed disenchantment in their midst. It was this same Tayo Ayinde that Tinubu sent to the Ten Million Boys’ that had been asking him for go ahead to kill me. Tinubu has now instructed they should join forces with Igboho against me
“You will agree with me that the imputations in the above are as serious and damaging as those who have listened to the ‘voice notes’ have represented it to my client by their telephone calls and visits. It includes that my client is complicit in a conspiracy to murder you, and is in fact the coordinator of the phantom operation.
“Giving your own experience in life, I am sure you will appreciate how painful it is to be unjustly accused, as you have done in this instance against my client”, the alleged voice note stated.
