Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the Imo State gubernatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is set to flag-off the campaign for the realization of his age long ambition this Thursday.
A press statement from Anyanwu disclosed that the event is scheduled for the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Complex, Aladimma, Owerri.
The campaign secretariat stated that, the national, state and the 27 Local Government Area leadership of the party, as well as the diasporans will grace the historical event.
The secretariat further informed that the campaign rally has been planned to be unprecedented in terms of mobilization of party members and supporters and likened it to the incidental return from exile by late Sir Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojiukwu few years after the end of Nigerian/Biafran civil war.
However, the statement was silent on whether any of the Governors in Nigeria under the political platform of the party will grace the expected evergreen occasion as a mark of solidarity.
