Protect all health installations in Imo, Onyeneke admonishes

The people of Imo State have been admonished to protect and guard all health installations and other welfare facilities provided by the government,for the benefit of the masses.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Imo Orientation Agency, Dr. Fidel Onyeneke, made the appeal in Owerri while reacting to the recent inauguration of some General Hospitals by Gov. Hope Uzodinma at Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and others.

Chief Onyeneke said that the people needed to check the nefarious activities of vandals, who have bad intentions of destroying the facilities at the detriment of the rural populace. 

The Special Adviser regretted the situation where some persons regarded government properties as no-man’s-property, lamenting that such notions retarded peace and progress.

He called for a change of attitude in that regard, stressing that such government projects which were provided with the tax-payers money, should be guarded jealousy.

The Special Adviser who described health as Wealth, expressed optimism that improved primary and tertiary healthcare facilities would add much value to the existence and living conditions of the rural dwellers.

He commended the Gov. Uzodinma administration for paying proper attention to the development of the health sector, as no society can record meaningful growth if the citizens do not enjoy good health.

Chief Onyeneke also lauded the Imo State government for its deliberate efforts to further improve the welfare and living standard of the masses through the provision.of modern state of the art equipment in the heaith, education and public utilities sectors among others.

He urged the various communities through their traditional rulers, town unions and youth organisations to cooperate with security agencies in order to forestall the destruction of government projects in the Communities.

Chief Onyeneke who hailed the determination of the State government to eradicate poverty and diseases, urged Imo people to reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for the second term re-election of Gov. Uzodinma on the 11th of November to enable him continue with his good work for the electorate.
