Legislator pledges federal presence for constituents

House of Representatives Member for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Terseer Ugbor, has said he would do his best for his constituents all his days at the National Assembly.

Mr Ajai, Senior Legislative Aide to Rt. Hon. Ugbor who disclosed this in an interview with The AUTHORITY newspaper on Friday in Makurdi said,
“within his 100 days in office Rt. Hon. Ugbor has attracted Technology Incubation Centre to his constituency to be sited in Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area (LGA), Benue.

He said that Ugbor succeeded in pulling the centre of National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) to his constituency from consistent persistent visit to the head of NBTI, Dr Patricia Chuckwu, at which he humbly requested that NBTI should establish a centre in his constituency.

“Rt. Hon. Ugbor assured the management staff of NBTI that the site was handy for the immediate take off, stressing that the technical team of NBTI had visited the proposed site and feasibility studies were done”, Mr. Ajai said.

Also, his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Frederick Dagu, said that Ugbor
in partnership with AIJ Technologies had facilitated the entrepreneurship development training of 31 of his constituents in Basic CCTV Installation and Maintenance across the 26 council wards of Kwande/Ushongo federal constituency.

Dagu further said that Ugbor donated a SEQUOIA Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) to his Kwande LGA Campaign Coordinator who was now the Special Assistant on Revenue Matters, Mr Bartholomew Shagba, adding that he also donated brand new motorcycles to 12 of constituents.

Mr Emmanuel Ikyoga, another Legislative Aide to Ugbor disclosed that his boss had distributed 300 bags of fertilizer to farmers, stating that he also distributed bags of salt and cartons of Maggi cubes to different groups of women within his 100 days in office.

“My boss has settled medical bills for many of his constituents and has assisted many with school fees among several other assistance,” Ikyoga said.

He disclosed that Ugbor through his contact with the military had helped greatly to quell the recurring invasion of militia and Fulani marauders in Turan and Ikyurav-Ya communities in Kwande LGA of the state.
