Abe: Tinubu in transformation moves to restore Nigeria’s economy

From Douglas Blessing, Port Harcourt

The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the 2023 general elections in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe, has revealed the reason for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve a successful government.

Abe, who was a former representative of Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, said he is supporting President Tinubu with the belief that he is in a better to transform the nation’s economy for good.

The former senator made this assertion yesterday, during a luncheon he organised for his party members and other well wishers at his private house in Port Harcourt.

Abe commended the President for running an inclusive government, stressing that the economy of the nation can be better if everyone comes together to support the present federal government led by Tinubu.

He said: “We supported President Tinubu because of Nigeria. We believe that he is in a better position to transform the country. Some of the challenges you are seeing today, is his effort trying to ensure that everyone benefits from the resources in the country.

“He understands money, he knows the economy well and he is putting the nation in order that everyone can get the money. Support the president, don’t believe in all the rumours, but in his transformation impacts.

“We must expand our thinking and begin to follow the new ways. The economic reality are changing, the political drumbeats are also changing. We must endeavour to move forward no matter the changes.”

Abe further stated that in order for the state and country to move forward, there must be collective engagement of all Nigerians in the activities of the government.
