‘Media Sisters’ hail Soneye on appointment as NNPCL spokesperson 

A non-governmental organisation promoting women empowerment and female journalists in Nigeria, “Media-Sisters” has congratulated Mr. Femi Soneye on his appointment as the Chief Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). 

A statement by the national coordinator of the association, Ms. Mayen Essien, they described the appointment as “well-deserved,” expressing the confidence that he will excel in the role. 

According to the statement, “Soneye has established himself as an astute media and communications strategist with vast experience in both the media industry and the public relations field. 

“Your selection for this position is a testament to your outstanding skills and expertise in the media, and we are thrilled to see a member of our community take on such a significant role.

“As an organization, we know that you will bring valuable insights, knowledge, competence and experience to the NNPCL Corporate Communications team and the entire oil and gas sector. 

“Your ability to communicate effectively and efficiently will help ensure that the organization attains great height and we are confident that you will excel in this position.”

The Media Sisters said they look forward to working with him to advance the corporate image of the company. 

The association also commended the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Mr. Mele Kyari, for making the right choice and decision with the appointment of Soneye. 

Soneye is seasoned journalist with full-time and freelance experience at some of the world’s most respected publications in Nigeria, Australia, and the United States of America.

He is a member of reputable bodies, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Guild of Corporate Online Media Publishers.

Soneye is a former President of the Nigerian Media Practitioners, Washington, D.C.
