The Director, Department of Climate Change, Dr. Iniobong Abiola- Awe has been conferred the award of ICON OF NATION BUILDING.
The award was conferred on her by the Northern Youth for Good Leadership & Governance (NYGLG) in her office in the Green building, Maitama, Abuja.
Comr. Labaran Abubakar, National President, NYGLG said the award is in recognition and appreciation of her immense contribution towards youth empowerment, philanthropy and human transformation, educational development and prudent management of human and material resources for the benefit of humanity and country.
Receiving the award, Dr. Awe dedicated it to the staff of DCC and other colleagues in the Federal Ministry of Environment.
She commended the Minister and Minister of State in the Environment ministry for their support.
Awe said she is strengthened and empowered to deliver on her mandate as the Director DCC.
The Director said that Youths and Women will continue to receive the support of DCC on issues of climate change.
