Federal Lawmaker declares state of emergency in education in his constituency

The lawmaker representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akarachi Amadi, has declared a state of emergency in primary and secondary schools in his constituency.

Amadi disclosed this while speaking with Journalists in Owerri concerning his stewardship so far and future expectations noting that the primary and secondary schools he saw in his federal constituency during his campaigns were in deplorable states.

The lawmaker said that as a beneficiary of quality education, he would do everything possible to improve the states of the schools.

According to him, “one of the benefits I enjoyed and I’m more passionate about is education. I am privileged to have received one of the best education from my Parents and I will remain grateful to them for that privilege.

”During the campaigns, while I visited our people community by community, I can categorically say that the Community Schools and Government Schools in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru are in a deplorable states and have necessitated the declaration of state of emergency by me.

“We have declared a state of Emergency in this sector and we will liaise and lobby every agency to hear our cry, Including the state Government, Universal Basic Education Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Federal Government and Donor Agencies”
