Miyetti Allah calls for immediate release of its national president, lauds Gov. Sule’s peace efforts

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-Cultural Association, has called for the immediate release of its National President, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo, who is in detention over terrorism charges.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Saleh Alhassan, the association’s National Secretary on Thursday, Miyetti Allah said that Bodejo’s unwarranted and unjust detention was obstructing the path towards harmony, understanding, and reconciliation among diverse ethnic groups.

Alhassan stated that the national president’s prolonged detention was also stifling the invaluable contributions and wisdom he could bring to constructive dialogues and the calming of current tensions.

According to him, Badejo’s release is not just a matter of justice, as it represents a pivotal step toward fostering an environment of reconciliation, tolerance, and mutual respect among all communities.

Alhassan, however, commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, for the steps taken to resolve the lingering security challenges in the state.

He noted that Sule’s decision to ban single-ethnic group vigilantes would no doubt promote unity and peaceful coexistence.

“As Nasarawa State journeys towards peace and prosperity, we stand united in our commitment to embracing change and fostering understanding among all our communities.

“Governor Abdullahi Sule’s bold decisions in resolving security challenges signal a new era where inclusivity, cooperation, and mutual respect will lead to a brighter future.

“By rejecting division and nurturing an atmosphere of reconciliation, Nasarawa State is poised to become a beacon of progress and harmony for all.

“Governor Sule’s vision for Nasarawa State calls upon each and every one of us to actively contribute to building a society where every individual can thrive.

“As we work together to achieve our shared goals, let us celebrate our diverse backgrounds, resolve conflicts through constructive dialogue, and lay the foundation for enduring peace and prosperity.

“With unwavering resolve and a collective spirit, we can create an exceptional Nasarawa State that serves as a model for others to follow,” he added.
