Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa receives certificate of return, vows to clinch victory

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on Monday received his certificate of return as All Progressives Congress  (APC) flag bearer in the November 16 governorship poll in the State.

The certificate was handed to him by the national chairman of APC, Umar Ganduje, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

Speaking shortly afterwards, Aiyedatiwa expressed his confidence that Ondo people would return him as governor by voting masssively for APC.

The Governor said that his tour of the 18 local government areas of during the party primary campaign gave him insight into the level support he and the party enjoy across the State and party lines, vowing never to take that for granted.

He reiterated his promise to run an inclusive government in the state as he assured some of the aggrieved contestants in the primary of his commitment to working harmoniously with everyone to succeed in the state.

Earlier at the event Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who presented the Certificate of Return enjoined all party faithful to work as a united body to ensure that party retains Ondo State.

As a party, he said that the APC will mobilize all the support to ensure the good work the governor is doing in the State is not jeopardized by opponents.
