Tunji Bello assumes office as FCCPC boss

Mr. Tunji Bello officially took up his role as the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) on Thursday.

According to a statement from the Commission, Mr. Bello brings significant experience to the role, and the Commission expressed confidence in his ability to be a strong advocate for fair competition and consumer protection in Nigeria.

Upon his arrival, Mr. Bello was greeted by Dr. Adamu Abdullahi, Executive Commissioner of Operations, and Mr. Kola Alabi, Executive Commissioner of Corporate Services. Dr. Abdullahi had been serving as the Commission’s acting chief executive until Mr. Bello’s assumption of office.

Before settling into his office, Mr. Bello toured the Commission to familiarize himself with the staff, the statement added.

The AUTHORITY reports that Mr. Bello’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate this week following his nomination by President Bola Tinubu.
