The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has felicitated with Muslim ummahs as they join the rest of the world to commemorate the 2024 Eid-El-Maulud celebration, which signifies the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Prince Audu, in a message signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, on Monday in Abuja, urged Muslim faithfuls and Nigerians to use the opportunity of the holy celebration to reflect on the life, teachings, and principles of Prophet Muhammad.
He admonished Nigerians to draw strength from the examples of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and strive to foster a nation of peace, unity, and understanding amongst the diverse folds while continually praying for the President and other leaders in positions of authority.
“This significant day, which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is a time for reflection, gratitude, and the reaffirmation of our shared values of peace, compassion, and unity.
“Eid-El-Maulud celebration is not just a celebration; it is a reminder of the teachings and principles that the Prophet embodied throughout his life. His commitment to justice, kindness, and service to humanity should be an inspiration for us all.
“Nigeria is at a time of tough but necessary economic reforms under the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, which has marked a new dawn for our great nation. It is therefore a critical time for us as citizens to embrace the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience so that together we can overcome the challenges we face and build a brighter future for generations to come.
“As we celebrate, I further urge us all to remember the less privileged and extend acts of kindness and generosity to them to give them a sense of belonging, as I pray that this year’s Eid-El-Maulud brings joy to our hearts, strengthen the bonds of friendship and love, and inspires us all to be better citizens for the peace, progress, and development of our beloved country.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire staff and Management of the Ministry of Steel Development, I wish you a happy Eid-El-Maulud celebration,” Prince Audu stated.
