The #Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has waded into recent allegations by a former Private Soldier, Ruth Ogunleye against the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, with a call for restraint.

Ruth Ogunleye had accused Lt. Gen. Lagbaja of inappropriate conduct.

PSNAFSA in a press release on Monday, urge the public to avoid hasty condemnation and allow for thorough investigations to be conducted.

The press release was signed by PSNAFSA Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi- Fatile.

According to the group “The military has already conducted an investigation, and we implore the media and the public to do the same to strike a balance rather than condemning the Chief of Army Staff and the Military in general.

“It is essential to remember that our security agencies are working tirelessly to protect us. We must show our appreciation and support for their efforts. Let’s join hands in promoting fairness and justice for all. We must avoid spreading unsubstantiated rumors and inflammatory statements that can cause harm to individuals and institutions.

“We have consistently demonstrated support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies, and we encourage everyone to remember our brave security personnel in their prayers. We firmly believe that our security agents deserve to be celebrated and honored for their selfless service and sacrifices, just like in other countries, and we should show our appreciation for all that they do.

“We therefore urge Nigerians to be cautious and thorough in their investigations and avoid hasty condemnation. Let us promote fairness, justice, and appreciation for our security agencies. Together, we can build a safer and more harmonious society. We owe it to our security agencies and ourselves to ensure that we promote fairness and justice at all times.

“Let us join hands in promoting fairness, justice, and appreciation for our security agencies. Together, we can build a safer and more harmonious society. We are confident that with our collective efforts, we can achieve this goal and ensure that our security agencies receive the appreciation and support they deserve.”
