Matawalle strengthens ties with key Zamfara politicians, hosts them in Abuja

In a bid to strengthen political unity in Zamfara State, Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara Governor, Dr. Bello Matawalle, hosted prominent state politicians at his Abuja office on Monday.

The gathering showcases a growing alignment within the state’s political landscape.

Among those in attendance were Engr. Sulaiman Abubakar Gummi, representing Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and Hon. Kabiru Yahaya, a former National Assembly member for Mafara/Anka Constituency.

Hon. Yahaya, who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), was joined by Zamfara State APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani. Yahaya’s shift to the APC is considered a significant boost to the party’s influence within Zamfara.

The meeting reflects a broader movement among Zamfara leaders and stakeholders to support the APC’s agenda, fostering unity aimed at enhancing national development.

Expressing his support for the emerging political cohesion, Dr. Matawalle emphasized the necessity of bipartisan collaboration to achieve long-lasting progress for the country.

Reiterating his dedication to peace, security, and economic growth in Zamfara, Matawalle highlighted the importance of addressing the people’s aspirations and ensuring their needs are met.

This gathering marks a strategic step in consolidating APC’s influence in Zamfara, as leaders unite under a shared vision for Nigeria’s advancement.
